Tarea: Workbook/Cuaderno 7A actividades 1-14 (don't do 2). it is a lot but it is the only way to get you to review for the test. Do four activities per night and one night for the project and you should be good to go.
lunes: we will review more and hopefully have time to go over our rough drafts of your projects Mi pasatiempo favorito.
martes: test, one written in class, the prompt is embedded in blog entry for 9/23, make sure you try to write it well ahead of time. We will edit in class on monday. There will be a short vocab section over all vocab on 7A vocab sheet and a little grammar over present progressive (Tp. 285) and stem-changing verbs (hand out)
9/24 En clase we did listening for chapter 7A. All of this is in your packet and on the text website. If you can't find the text website email me.
Tarea: Tp. 282 léela, hagan Tp. 282 Act. 22 See the link below to Mi pasatiempo favorite and print out if you have not done so yet. Read it and write a rough draft two paragraphs. You use a translator and I will know and you will get a 0 and I will call your parents. You may look up one word at a time but really you should be able to do the whole thing with your head and your text.

Coming up: Next Tuesday oct 1st, you will have your first big test comprised of a small quiz over everything we have had so far with a listening section and you will also have an in-class writing project titled: Mi pasatiempo favorito Please download and print this sheet and bring it to class. You should be studying everynight from now until the test and bring questions to class. I am happy to edit any rough drafts you may have, however, not the morning of the test.
Materials you need in class: You need to find a picture of your favorite activity (someone doing the activity, you doing the activity, a computer generated picture) and a picture of someone you admire who does that activity or is known for doing it (you don't have to have a picture of them doing the activity).

9/17 En clase: Objetivo: students were able to express how to say how long they had been doing something using the form: Hace ------ años que yo + present tense verbs and also were able to express how long it had been since the had done something with the form: Hace ------ años que yo NO + present tense verb. Down load the form Verbos de Cambio Radical (Stem-Changing verbs) and learn the meanings in English of all the verbs that are new to you
Tarea: STUDY THE FIVE VERBS WE LEARNED IN CLASS last week: volver, poder, jugar, recordar and costar (know how to conjugate them and their madatos form). Study the verbs on the new hand-out and know what they mean in English. You do not have to worry about the conjugations of these yet unless!!!! you learned them last year, for example : Querer.

9/10 En clase: We spoke a lot in Spanish and we used a verb chart to write in two new verbs. Please download verb sheet under Documentos 3-4 and copy notes from a friend. I also handed out packet 7A which you should also print out.
Tarea: Paquete 7A p. 91-94 Act 1, 2, 4, 5, y preguntas sobre el plan del curso, estudien sus flashcards 15 min todos los días de la semana, repasar sus verbos nuevos de jugar y poder.
9/9 En clase: In class we went over the Plan de curso and filled out questions pertaining to the Plan de curso. You can download it all under Documentos 3-4. Next week, hw will all be written in Spanish. So get used to using the blog while everything is in English please.

We now have enough: Expo markers, disinfectant wipes (clorox type)

School Supplies for Class: Kleenex, Expo markers, regular markers (crayola), hand sanitizer, scissors (any size used or ok), disinfectant wipes (clorox type), glue sticks.
You will need the following for yourself in class (Hay que tener estos útiles para si mismos): the text AVENTURA 1, 6 packs of flashcards 3 x 5 or smaller, 3-ring binder of 2-3 inch width, composition book with three sections, loose-leaf paper, sticky notes 2 packs, 3-4 dividers for separate sections. You should also purchase a "notebook Spanish dictionary" that is very thin and fits in your 3-ring binder or one of those laminated two-fold, fine-print Spanish quick reference sheets they sell around this time of year.
Optional books you want to have at home: A New Reference Grammar of Modern Spanish by John Butt, 501 Spanish Verbs.
