Español 3-4 MARZO 2014
3/20 If you did not do your presentation or turn in your organized notebook you must do so on April 8th before school, during lunch or after school
Tarea: Vocab, look up 2.2A vocab and make flashcards. Pueden usar Texto p. 95 que tiene una lista de la mayoría de las palabras en la lista y aparte de eso tienen que usar wordreference.com
Sub: You will have a sub for a few days. You MUST write down the hw in class as it will most likely NOT be on the web.
3/18 en clase: Presentaciones sobre las fotos con nuestra familias
Lección: Double pronouns.
Tarea: cuaderno de Gramática y Vocabulario (GV) P. 16-18 Act. 5,,6,7 En el texto: p. 38 Act. 28 y 29
Due: organized Notebook with flip chart present, all conjugation sheets for verbs, organized notes, visible corrections being made as you go, or as we correct. workbooks will not be turned in.
3/17 En clase: presentaciones sobre las fotos con nuestras familias

Jueves tomados El Examen Nacional de Español
Tarea: cuaderno Pp. 12-17 Act. 1-6
3/13 En clase: tradujimos unas oraciones para practicar antes de la prueba de vocabulario.
Tomamos apuntes sobre el pretérito. Practicamos el uso del pretérito y el imperfecto para contar acciones pasadas.
Proyecto: Para entregar el 17 de marzo, este lunes que viene. I downgraded # of sentences: 3 per photo = C, 4 sentences per photo = B, 5 per photo = A BUT!!!! you also have to have 10 different verbs, 7 of which need to be irregular of either the pretérito (or you can use the -ir preterites that stem-change in 3rd person) o imperfecto (remember there are only 3 irregulars in imperfect). Must be memorized, don't use a translator!!!! I've had it with expressions like "es caliente"
On Monday you will stand in front of class and show pictures of your family doing things together in the past. You may video tape, however, you must look directly into the camera without wavering eyes. be careful, some you do not learn your lines well and totally memorize bad grammar. If you send me your draft by saturday I may have time to look it over however on sunday I will be booked all day and night.
3/11 En clase: Worked on projects, added dictados, Actividad 27 Tp. 18 with an extension activity. That activity needs to be done and written out in notes if you were not here.
AMAN: You will need to stop by Wednesday and grab my vocab original off my desk and go make a copy and return it to me because the scanner died today and won't scan.
Tarea: Conjuguemos 2) Go to National Spanish Exam website and practice for the test

3/6 En clase: Practicamos el uso del imperfecto in questions and answers using our vocab and verbs about technology from chapter 2.1 vocab list. We also learned about the three different ways to use the preterit and imperfect in sentences with two verbs when telling stories in the past.
Tarea: As a warm up for the project due on the 17th, your hw is to write 3 imperfect sentences per picture (4 pictures x 3 = 12 sentences) for a C, 5 sentences for B and 7-10 for A. Remember to use the imperfect so don't talk about actions completed or what people are doing. We are using the imperfect in this project to describe the scene, what do the trees look like (ser). how do people feel (estar, sentir), what was there (haber).
Prueba: right side of vocab list, whole column.
3/4 En clase: Practicamos el pretérito irregular en conversación y tomamos apuntes sobre el imperfecto
Tarea: 1) Paquete del imperfecto/pretérito: First page "Expressing Feelings and Mental Processes in the Past with the Imperfect Tense" 2) 4 fotos of something you did with your family in the past 15 or so years of your life on vacation or here in portland.

3/17 En clase:
Project proposal: Chose at least 4 fotos of past things you have done on family trips any time from birth to the present. You may photocopy them or upload to a Power Point or Prezi. You will talk for at least one minute using a minim of 7 irregular verbs in the preterito and 3 regular and 10 verbs describing the scenes in the pictures using the imperfect. The preterite will be used for talking about what the people in the pictures are doing while imperfect describes what they were wearing and what the surroundings looked like. You will have to have me proof your rough draft and then memorize your presentation for the week of march 17th.
If you want to have time to work in class your hw is to bring at least four fotos of yourself or family members on vacation or doing things together. I will help you write your speech.
